How to post advertising and become a one-person marketing firm
A practical document for first-time marketers. Use it with Luminous Social's Website Auditor, Pitch Pack, Report Studio, and AI Strategist.
1. Position yourself clearly
- Pick one niche for your first 90 days (for example: dentists, HVAC, coaches, or local ecommerce).
- Write one sentence: “I help [niche] get [outcome] with [ads / SEO / content] in [timeframe].”
- Build a simple offer: audit → recommendations → monthly reporting retainer.
2. Post advertising that actually books calls
- Start with one channel you can manage weekly: Meta Ads or Google Search Ads.
- Creative formula: hook (pain) → proof (result or process) → offer (free audit / strategy call) → clear CTA.
- Example ad primary text: “Most local service sites look fine — and quietly lose leads. I find the conversion leaks and fix the highest-ROI ones first. Comment AUDIT and I’ll send the process.”
- Post 3–5 times per week on LinkedIn or Instagram: one tip, one case study style breakdown, one offer post, one personal note, one FAQ.
- Always send people to a clear next step: Website Auditor → Pitch Pack → booked call.
3. Your one-person weekly operating system
- Monday: prospecting — audit 5 websites and send 5 Pitch Pack emails.
- Tuesday–Wednesday: client delivery — ads, creative tests, landing page edits.
- Thursday: reporting — generate client reports in AI Report Studio and send them.
- Friday: growth — publish lessons from client work as content.
- Use Luminous AI Strategist each week so you always know what is working and what needs attention.
4. Pricing without undervaluing yourself
- Starter setup (audit + pitch + 2-week plan): $500–$1,500 one-time.
- Monthly retainer for a one-person firm: often $1,500–$4,000 depending on niche and ad spend managed.
- Always include a tangible deliverable clients understand: monthly PDF report, meeting notes, and next actions.
- If they hesitate on price, reduce scope — never remove reporting. Reporting is how you keep the client.
5. Closing script (short)
- “I reviewed your site and ads footprint. Here are three issues costing you leads. I can fix these in a 30-day trial retainer with weekly updates and a monthly report. If we do not improve clarity on [metric], we reassess — fair?”
- Then shut up and let them answer.
- Send the Pitch Pack immediately after the call so they have a document to forward inside their company.
