Cookie Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how 1602637 BC Ltd., operating as Luminous Social, uses cookies and similar technologies on luminoussocial.com and in the fiduciary workspace (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits or requests. Some are essential for a site to function at all; others are used for analytics, personalization, or advertising.
2. Cookies We Use
We currently use only strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Service to work — primarily to keep you securely signed in — and cannot be switched off in our systems without breaking core functionality such as logging in and staying logged in.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token (or equivalent Supabase auth cookie) | Keeps you signed in and identifies your account securely as you move between pages. | Session, refreshed while you remain signed in; cleared when you log out. |
| ls_device | Set only if you turn on two-factor authentication. Marks this browser as one you have already verified with an emailed code, so you are not asked for a new code every time you sign in. It holds a random value; we store only its hash. | Until you clear it, or revoke the device from your settings. |
| ls_2fa_pending | Set only during a two-factor sign-in, between entering your password and entering the emailed code. It tells us which sign-in the code belongs to. | Cleared as soon as the code is accepted or the attempt ends. |
Because these cookies are strictly necessary, most privacy frameworks — including Canadian law — do not require a consent banner for them; we still disclose them here for transparency.
2a. Similar Technologies
We also store one preference in your browser's local storage. It is not a cookie — it is never sent to our servers and is not used to identify or track you — but it is stored on your device, so we list it here for the same reason.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| pp:color-scheme | Remembers which colour scheme you picked, so the workspace does not flash the default one while your preference loads. It never leaves your browser. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
3. Cookies We Do Not Currently Use
As of the date at the top of this page, we do not use analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking pixels on the Service. If that changes — for example, if we add product-analytics tooling to understand feature usage — we will update this policy first and add a cookie-consent control for any cookie that is not strictly necessary, before it is set.
4. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, blocking them will prevent you from staying signed in to the Service. We don't control cookies your browser or operating system sets independently of our site.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes — in particular, adding any non-essential cookie — will be reflected here with an updated date, and we will seek your consent first where the cookie is not strictly necessary.
